  1. Look into soil amendment for poor clay soils. For some soils this can be as simple as some peat moss and gypsum. For very poor soils (solid clay, elevated metals, etc.) a raised bed can be used to bypass plants roots hitting native soil/clay. A tall bed may be needed, such as; a 19+ inch. Also Id recommend a Hugelkultur, google it, garden, enjoy!

  2. I picked this game up and I do enjoy it. Is it slow? Yes, but that does not bother me at all. Try being a real life farmer and let me know how exciting you find that. But really farming games for me are to relax not to keep cramping something new down my throat with go do this now that run over here now there. I can pick up any shooter for that. In the end if this isn't your kind of game then move on if you bought it just for you it was a bad buy. But don't so it's bad just because it's not your style of game. Anyhow, just my opinion have a good & safe day.

  3. The only things I would want is some sort of hint that the Parliament is run by mice. Nothing too obvious. I do love that you're ride is a spaceship themed Winnebago. I approve. You can never have too many comedy syfy references in a video game.

  4. It depends on the exact type of caliche soil you have (there are many), but you should be able to grow something out there. Caliche tends to be very alkaline and that really knackers root growth. I would get it tested to be sure, but if it's too alkaline then peat moss, sulfur, and compost should raise the acidity and bring it back into balance. Compost is a good idea for anybody, really. It's great for the soil and reduces food waste.

  5. That old VHS porn myth?
Nah, it was simply a mater of having better recording time. And by a long shot. by having a slightly bigger cassette.
Technology Connections actually has two videos on it.

  6. "Nereid" is a greek term. Mythological Sea Nymphs.
Spelling Guide is: /ˈnɪəriɪdz/ or NEER-ee-idz. So the E and I are on different syllable's, probably the biggest hickup when speaking them.

  7. "When do employers ever send you out for a complete waste of time?"

Clearly you haven’t met my bosses. There’s plenty times we drive across multiple states to pull up on a job site and have to turn around and leave cause things weren’t ready yet lol. Least I get paid for it too.

  8. Maybe I’m in the minority, since I’ve never seen the original artwork. But I thought this looked pretty good for what it was going for graphics wise. I’ve read some horrible reviews in steam but that’s par for the course with early access.

  9. My excitement for this game died when they switched the art style from the Kickstarter to this. Playing the demo the gameplay felt horrible. Mostly due to the slow movement speed.
Overall I'm disappointed how this game turned out in the end.

  10. I really feel like GameDevs are slowly but surely getting it. It's not the AAA economy. But the in betweens. I think gaming will have a second golden age.

  11. It's called a planter's pot. Buy some pots, some soil, some seeds (of whatever you want to plant), figure out how many of those types of plants (veggies, flowers, whatever) can grow in that size pot, plant, water, profit.

People who complain about "not being able to grow anything because my house was built on top of clay" are just ignorant and should learn how to use the internet.
